The Mothers' House has been accepted to Docupolis in Barcelona in October this year as well as 1001 Istanbul Film Festival in Turkey also in October.

Feminist Review recently published an interesting review on The Mothers' House.

The Mothers' House received another accolade, this time at the Durban International Film Festival, winning Best South African Documentary.

The Mothers' House also won Best Feature-Length Film at the third Play-Doc Film Festival in Tui, Spain.

On a different topic there is an interview with Francois covering new projects on the new indiefilmsa website, which coverers upcoming projects.

Francois attended the Beeld voor Beeld festival (7-11 June) in Amsterdam as well as Silverdocs which was showcasing South African films last year (June 12 2006).

The Mothers' House received the Jury's Special Mention (click to see the Diploma) at the Norwegian Film Festival 2006 held in Volda (April 29 2006). Unfortunately, the website is only in Norwegian.

The Mother's House was selected for INPUT which was held in Taipei (May 7-12) this year.

The Mother's House was shown at Hotdocs in Toronto April 28 - May 7. .
